Description
The source geometric design, “Metatron’s Flower”, was drawn, inked and color-filled with markers June 30-July 3, 2024. It begins in the center as a six-pointed star and progresses outward into twelve-points that repeat the fleur-de-lis pattern. This artwork is rendered from the color-filled design using primary text prompts intimately related to inner self-work and to the poem “Fraternal Twin”.
The poem is based on the tanka format, with a syllabic structure of 6-8-6-8-8 (versus the traditional structure of 5-7-5-7-7). The writing of the poem actually began with the third line and expanded outward. That third line is inspired by the source design, specifically the resemblance to six trumpets of the outward progression of the central six-pointed star.
