Description
The origins and symbolism of the paisley design (boteh jegheh) are debatable. I believe the buta motif (from which the paisley is allegedly derived) represents a separation of yin and yang found in taijitu symbolism. That is the inspiration for the haiku. It is also part of the inspiration for the source design used to render this artwork, which is available as a shirt in the Taijitu collection.
